David Mansolino

My name is David Mansolino, I am the Director of Rehabilitation at Sitter and Barfoot Veterans Care Center. I am writing this letter of recommendation on behalf of Diane Yane, who was a co-worker of mine and is a friend. I have known Diane for over 6 years now and can un-equivocally recommend her to improve any organization she becomes affiliated with. Diane worked as one of several Activities Coordinators here at Sitter and Barfoot, however, she shone above the rest. Her compassion, work ethic and service focused care was exceptional, as was her ability to perform her job above and beyond the call of duty. However, those are not the only attributes that placed Diane above her peers.

Diane is a people person with marketing skills which are unique to her. She understands people’s needs and desires and finds ways to link those who have needs with those who have a desire to meet others’ needs. Over her 5 year tenure with Sitter and Barfoot Diane took it upon herself to formulate relationships and networks with organizations in the community for the betterment of our veterans. There were organizations in the community who would like to give back to the veterans, but had no avenue or opportunity to do so. Diane was able to present the needs of our veterans to those organizations and enabled them to support our veterans through donated funds. Diane has developed longstanding relationships with these organizations which enabled us to have a consistent revenue stream of donated funds. Over the years Diane has managed to procure many thousands of dollars. I need to inform you that this was not part of Diane’s work profile, but something she did on her own when she saw the need.

Diane is a contagiously positive person who is self motivated and thinks outside the box. Her eagerness to provide excellent service and care for those she serves is un-paralleled. I have hired many people over the years and have found that the intangibles that Diane possesses are far more valuable than any degree or certification. As a manager I can train almost anyone to perform a particular job, but I cannot train compassion, strong work ethic, personability and positive attitude. I could not recommend Diane more highly, and feel if given a chance she will certainly make you glad you did.

Sincerely,
David Mansolino, M.S. OTR/L
Director of Rehabilitation at Sitter & Barfoot Veterans Care Center
